Italian Chicken a la King

This recipe could be made almost completely clean if you use organic chicken and homemade broth.  Organic cream cheese and homemade cream of chicken soup.



  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese softened
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup or cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 pkg. italian dressing seasoning (Good Seasons)
  • 1-2 cups chicken broth


Step 1

Stir the softened cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, 1 cup of chicken broth and seasoning together in the crockpot.

Step 2

Add chicken in and cover with the mix.

Step 3

Cook on high 4 hours or until the chicken is cooked and fall-apart-tender. Make sure to check about every hour to stir and make sure not burning. If the mixture starts getting too thick add some extra chicken broth. Reduce heat after 2 hours if mixture is boiling. At this point the mixture can continue to cook on low.

Step 4

After four hours break up chicken breasts into bite size pieces. Serve over rice, noodles or best over Texas Toast!
