Oatmeal at Work

You don’t have to skip breakfast just you don’t have time for it before leaving for work. Whip up a batch of these and just grab one before heading out the door. You will be glad you did when you are staving at work. It also helps resist donuts or other sugary options that tempt all of us.


  • 1/2 c. instant oatmeal (I use Trader Joes Roasted Oatmeal)
  • 2 T. chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 2 T. sugar free raisins, brown or golden
  • a few dashes of cinnamon
  • 1-2 tsp. demenara sugar


Step 1

Put all ingredients in ziplock. Take to work and add 3/4-1 cup of boiling water and stir.

*Many other options such as cranberries, blueberries, cherries, apricots or almonds could be used in this oatmeal.
